Restaurant Reviews
Dined here last night and stayed over. The tasting menu was delicious as was the matching wines. Our sommelier was fantastic and really enthusiastic. She had great passion and made the experience so much more enjoyable. The staff were attentive without being over the top. They were all happy to chat about the food and all had such great knowledge of the menus! The room was comfortable and breakfast was amazing too. Made to feel very welcome and each dish was amazing. Definitely worth the money.

It’s fair to say I’d been looking forward to this one for a while. After all, Restaurant Sat Bains is a place with a stellar reputation and multitudinous mountains of awards, including top spot on the most recent Sunday Times Top 100 restaurants list. My Friday evening visit with my wife got off to a slightly awkward start following our hotel forgetting to book us a taxi, and said taxi then getting stuck in accident traffic despite us staying but a short distance away. When I rang to advise we’d be ten to fifteen minutes late the response was “That long?!” which our taxi driver found hilarious and to be honest, so did I. But I suppose it is testament to the extremely tight ship on which they sail….Read our full Restaurant Sat Bains review

Had a really special lunch with my son here. The lunch menu was excellent and the food was cooked beautifully. We had the Cornish mussels in an Nduja based sauce followed by the steak dish which was delicious. All perfectly cooked and served by the owners wife ( who was very attentive and helped with menu queries) and the lovely Roberta (from Sicily) who was an absolute delight. Added feature is the food being created in front of your eyes in the small kitchen restaurant. Absolutely recommend a visit to this culinary emporium, another fabulous Bristol independent restaurant.
