South East England is one of the most visited regions of the United Kingdom, being situated around the English capital city London and located closest to continental Europe. But don’t think that geographical convenience is the only reason for its popularity; there is much here of interest to the traveller, from varied natural landscapes to historic towns and cities, refined stately homes, globally-renowned gardens and adrenaline-pumping theme parks.
